Humble beauty

No matter how fond I am of my Bessa cameras, my CL or my M2 there is one camera that has a class and distinction that is hard to beat. Which camera it is...? Well, the humble FED-2. Take a look at it and tell me it's not a beauty. :)

Pass the camera

Over on rangefinderforum.com we've started a Pass-the-camera project. The project involves sending a rangefinder camera, in this case a Canonet QL17 GIII, to a participating member. The member shoots a roll or two, selects the shots he or she likes and posts these on rangefinderforum.com. Next, the member sends the camera off to the next participating member.

It was my pleasure to receive the camera in person from the man who made the project possible by providing the camera and setting up the list of members and designing the route the camera will take through the world over the next year. Pherdinand came to Amsterdam with his GF, and we met over coffee.

After a very pleasant meeting we said goodbye and went our own ways. My way lead me into town to get the hang of the camera. I had never used a Canonet before and I had quite a bit of trouble getting used to it. In the end I found it's not the camera for me but I got a few nice shots, which I've put up as my entries.

Now, will there a book after the project has finished...?
